I'm not dead yet! Macro Madness

Okay, as with conversations in other threads I decided to test how 'dead' macros were. It's true, the old shot rotation macros are toast (R.I.P).
That does not mean that macros are useless though. In fact, I did some testing last night and found out a really nice shot overlay. What I mean by overlay is that Autoshot is unlinked from the specials and they overlay it. It doesn't clip any more. The only clipping I encountered was latency induced. Beware of latency based issues!
So, macros you say? Well, try these:
The highest dps macro overlay I tested surprised me, especially with all the bad press I was reading about it, maybe it's a level thing (I'm only 70!)-
showtooltip Aimed Storm
/cast Rapid Fire
/cast Aimed Shot(Rank 9)
/cast Steady Shot(Rank 2)
(Insert Kill command and your favorite finishing stuff here like error clearing, etc.)
This macro resulted in 950-1050dps on the 70 target dummies in IF. That's a jump of about 200dps on average for me.
Next down the list was my 'mana sucker' however, it took a long time to burn through my mana bar-
showtooltip Mana Dump
/cast Rapid Fire
/cast Aimed Shot(Rank 9)
/cast Steady Shot(Rank 2)
/cast Arcane Shot(Rank ?) {Sorry, can't remember the max rank right now}
/cast Multishot(Rank ?) {Sorry, can't remember the max rank right now}
(Insert Kill command and your favorite finishing stuff here like error clearing, etc.)
It resulted in 850-950dps, still higher than what I was doing and my mana lasted much longer. This macro also resulted in the highest number of Cobra Strikes, and might be able to be tweaked to net a higher crit rating overall. It burned the most ammo. This one may be very 'speed' and 'latency' dependent. If you are running fast, have good connection, and a fast PC... try this out and let me know how it works!
These next two macros ran about the same dps 800-900. It demonstrated to me that the specials still have a place in the shot overlays:
showtooltip Steady Shot spammer
/cast Rapid Fire
/cast Steady Shot(Rank 2)
(Insert Kill command and your favorite finishing stuff here like error clearing, etc.)
showtooltip Arcane Spammer
/cast Rapid Fire
/cast Arcane Shot(Rank ?) {Sorry, can't remember the max rank right now}
/cast Steady Shot(Rank 2)
(Insert Kill command and your favorite finishing stuff here like error clearing, etc.)
Just spamming Steady's as fast as I could did not beat the above spammer macro. I manually triggered RF and spammed steady's at the results were essentially identical to the macro, a little less in fact I believe it was due to the Kill Command being missing. Morris absolutely ripped targets up.
Just for fun, I did a melee macro. I was shocked with the results-
showtooltip Melee Madness
/cast Deterrence
/cast Raptor Strike(Rank 7?) {I think it's rank 7, not sure, don't use the question mark!)}
/cast Mongoose Bite
(Insert Kill command and your favorite finishing stuff here like error clearing, etc.)
This macro resulted in 500dps in Melee with the S3 axe! That's better than I've seen some melee classes pull on my Kara dps reports. I think I'm going to work on a defensive macro that put's Raptor, Wing Clip and Disengage (jump back) into a single spammable macro.
So far, the testing has had interesting results. I think it demonstrates that there is still a place for macros, just not like the old shot rotation ones.
I'm open to any suggestions or ideas for other macros. I think the 'test dummy' is long overdue, but in my case it may be the person behind the keyboard that it's
